How AI is used and labelled on this website
CodaAI works on visibility in AI systems. That makes it only fair to disclose where AI is at work on our own website. This page states which images are AI-generated, how the articles are written and who is responsible for them. It is a self-disclosure, not a legal opinion.
Which images are AI-generated?
Since 30 October 2026, cover images for blog articles come from one of two sources: a photo from a free stock library, or an AI-generated image. Both options are prepared for every article and the choice is made per article.
Every AI-generated image carries the note “Image: AI-generated” visibly in the image itself — inside the white finding card that sits on every cover image. The note is rendered into the file, so it stays with the image when someone downloads or shares it. The same note appears in the image's alternative text.
Photos from stock libraries do not carry that note. They are credited individually in the legal notice, with photographer, platform, licence and the page they appear on.
One AI-generated image is currently in use on this website: the cover image of the article What AI systems really read from your page of 2 November 2026, in its German and English version.
Is the labelling also inside the image file?
Yes. Every image file on this blog carries its origin in its metadata as well, in the IPTC field
DigitalSourceType. AI-generated images are set to trainedAlgorithmicMedia,
photos from stock libraries to digitalCapture. Creator, credit, description and a reference
to this page are stored alongside.
The origin therefore stays readable even when someone downloads the image and passes it on without the website. Any program that displays image metadata will show it. The entry is inserted into the file without re-encoding the image, so the picture itself is unchanged.
A guard in our publishing process checks before every release that no cover image goes online without this entry. Older images from before this rule do not carry it yet; they belong to articles that are no longer listed, and they will follow.
Do the images show real people?
No. The AI-generated images on this website show no person meant to depict a real individual. Photographs of people on this website — the author portrait of Oliver Parrizas, for example — are real photographs and not AI-generated.
If you still notice a likeness to a real person in one of our images, please write to hi@codaai.ai. In case of doubt we take the image down.
How are the articles written?
The blog articles, the GEO glossary and the knowledge pages are written with AI assistance. The substance, the choice of topics and the checking are done by a person: the author and editorially responsible is Oliver Parrizas. The publisher is Anja Miebach (AMP Beratung).
The same rule applies to every article: every figure is verified in the full text of its source before publication. What cannot be found there does not go into the article. Sources are linked in the text, the date of the check is shown on the article, and figures are re-checked every six months.
The charts inside the articles are not images; they are rendered from the data. They therefore need no labelling.
How are the measurements made?
Figures from our own measurements — for instance from the AI Blind Test 2026 — come from automated queries sent to AI systems. The answers are evaluated by machine, and the method is open on the study page: number of questions, number of runs, systems tested and period. A single AI answer is never reproducible, which is why we report shares across many runs instead of individual examples.
Which tools are used?
AI images are created with generative image models through the provider fal.ai (model Nano Banana Pro). The files are then processed locally to 1600 × 900 pixels as WebP and given the finding card with its note. The unlabelled originals and the prompts used are archived internally and can be provided on request.
What is this labelling based on?
We take our bearings from Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence, whose transparency obligations have applied since 2 August 2026, from German unfair competition law and from the general right of personality. This page describes how we handle them. It is not legal advice and does not replace a legal review.
